When You Feel Like You Don't Measure Up

I've realised, being part of this incredible community of creative people, you're bound to find inspiration at every turn and people that you come to admire. But there are inevitably times when you might start to make you feel like you don't quite measure up with all these incredible people around you.

My view? I think it's only natural to feel that way.

There is definately moments when you feel like you can't handle what's on your plate as it is and then you find someone with a full platter of food, piled all on top of each other, and somehow, they seem to be able to eat it all and still have room for dessert?

There's always someone smarter, faster and more talented in some way with their hands stirring way more pots than you are ever going to be able to stir and maybe even do it better.
It can be quite depressing if you keep holding on to that bugger at the back of your mind but you can't it it detour you from the path which you have chosen for yourself.

The simplest reason that I can think of is - There is bound to be someone out there looking up at you and say "Wow, how did she do it?"

Always remember that you are just as amazing as all those people you admire. Every individual is unique and you possess your own talents, creativity and priorities tha determines how you share those talents with the people around you. It's not your responsibility to match what anyone else is doing on any given day, it's your responsibility to do for you.

The only person you truly have to measure up to is yourself. If you are feeling too bogged down with thoughts of all that you can't accomplish, perhaps you've set the bar a little too high. Don't expect so much from yourself all the time! Do some reflection and realize how much you have achieved already.

Do not belittle yourself. . for you have so much talent and drive to be discovered through your life.
